Rochester Rolls Over B-Sens 4-2

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Although the B-Sens put forth a solid effort, they could not stop the red hot Rochester Amerks, who won their eighth straight game, defeating Binghamton at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena 4-2.

David Brine put the Amerks on the board first, with his first period goal at 11:04, assisted by Victor Oreskovich.

At 9:42 of the second period, Jesse Winchester tied the score for the B-Sens 1-1. Erik Karlsson registered an assist in his American Hockey League debut.

Jamie Johnson's first of two goals, at 14:09 of the second put the Amerks back in the lead 2-1. Oreskovich would earn his second point of the night with the assist.

In the third period B-Sens defenseman Derek Smith knotted up the score 2-2 at 5:14 as he buried his second goal of the season on the power play.

The Amerks were able to answer at 7:22 with a goal by Jason Garrison, also on the power play and Johnson's second goal, the empty netter at 19:07 put the game away.

Andy Chiodo manned the pipes for Binghamton, making a respectable 33 saves on 36 shots.

The B-Sens' next game is Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Albany versus the River Rats at 7 p.m.
