Canucks Recall Mario Bliznak

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have recalled centre Mario Bliznak from the Moose.

Bliznak, 22, has played in 13 games so far this season with the Moose and has collected five points (2g & 3a) along with two penalty minutes. Last season, the Trencin, Slovakia native appeared in 64 games with Manitoba where he scored 16 points (7g & 9a) and collected 24 penalty minutes. He has also played in 21 career Calder Cup playoff games with the Moose where he scored five points (3g & 2a) and eight penalty minutes.

Bliznak was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the seventh round, 205th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
