Amerks Mascots To Go Trick-Or-Treating On Halloween

(Rochester, NY)... Two lucky families with bring their furry friends along for trick-or-treating on Saturday night, as the Rochester Americans mascots accompany young fans in their quests for candy.

The Moose will visit the Young family in Hilton and The Eagle, R. Thunder, will swoop in and go house-to-house with the members of the Jennings family in Greece.

The families won the once-in-a-lifetime holiday prize after winning the costume contests at the Sunday, October 25th Amerks game.

Earlier in the day, R. Thunder will participate in the Monroe County Fair's TreatFest, "A Halloween Party for the Whole Family."  The appearance will take place at the Rochester Fair and Expo Center, located at 2695 East Henrietta Road. R. Thunder will be spending the afternoon at TreatFest from noon to 2:00 p.m. While at the event, children will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat with the Amerks' furry friend and also take part in a Halloween costume contest.

 

           

            There will also be many other activities for families to take part in, such as face painting, balloon creatures and the Pirate's Balloon Funhouse. The Monroe County Fair is producing this event in conjunction with the Pirate Toy Fund.

The Pirate Toy Fund is a Rochester based organization that helps bring toys to children year round.  Founded by Gary the Happy Pirate, the Pirate Toy Fund has given over 50,000 toys to children since 2000.
