GREAT FALLS - Scott De Jong homered for the third straight game and Matt Jones drove in three runs as the Ogden Raptors (13-13) held off a late rally from the Great Falls Voyagers (13-9) to win 12-9. The Voyagers rallied for five runs in the 8th inning, but Isaac Anderson slammed the door to earn his first save of the season.

The win earned the Raptors a series split with Great Falls, and clinched a winning road trip, after taking two of three games at Missoula.

"The ball club did a good job today of adding runs, and we needed all of them," said manager John Shoemaker.

Bernardo Reyes pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win. Reyes (1-1) came on in relief of Ivan Vieitez, who exited after four innings, giving up four runs in his third start of the season.

With the game tied at four in the fifth inning, De Jong hit a two-out solo home run off of Dylan Barrow to right-centerfield, breaking the tie, and giving the Raptors a lead they would not relinquish. It was De Jong's third homer in as many games, and it came two days after he hit for the cycle to break out of an 0-for-12 slump.

"(De Jong's) got a better path to the ball now and I think he's seeing the ball better," Shoemaker said. "He can see what he can swing at and he's got a lot of power."

Jones hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning to score Nick Dean, and came up again with the bases loaded in the top of the 6th. After Dean scored on a wild pitch, Jones laced a single to center, scoring Garrett Kennedy and Nick Sell to give Ogden an 8-4 lead.

Kennedy drove in two additional runs with a sacrifice fly in the 2nd inning and an RBI single in the 7th. Deion Ulmer recorded a 2-RBI night with a 2-run single in the 2nd, and Dean drove in two more with a 2-run triple in the 8th.

Reyes, after being spotted an 8-4 lead in the 6th, allowed a leadoff single to Jackson Glines, but induced a double play off the bat of Dante Flores to end the threat. The Ogden right-hander did not give up a hit the rest of the night.

The Raptors led 12-4 going into the bottom of the 8th inning, but Clint Freeman got roughed up, allowing 5 runs in only 1/3 inning pitched. Anderson came on and earned the save - getting the final five outs - while not allowing another run.

"I want to give a lot of credit tonight to a couple of pitchers: Bernie Reyes, three innings scoreless, and Isaac Anderson, who came in when there was trouble," Shoemaker said. "There was a hot fire burning and he was able to put that out."

The Raptors are off Tuesday - their first off day since the season started 26 days ago -- and will open a new three-game series with Great Falls on Wednesday night at Lindquist Field. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs as Dennis Santana (0-2, 12.89) goes for Ogden against Tanner Banks (2-0, 1.77) for Great Falls.
