
Octavio Dotel to Rehab with Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (May 14, 2007) - Kansas City Royals pitcher Octavio Dotel has been sent to the Wranglers on a Major League Rehab Assignment. Dotel will pitch in Tuesday night's game in Tulsa against the Drillers and will be in the bullpen for the Wranglers in Wichita against the Arkansas Travelers on Friday and Saturday.
In 2006, Dotel made just 14 relief appearances for the New York Yankees as he continued his comeback from Tommy John surgery. He pitched 10 innings giving up 12 earned runs on 18 hits and struck out 7. Dotel has been on the Disabled List since April 4 with a left oblique strain.
