Orlando City B News Release
MELBOURNE, Fla. - Following Saturday's 2-1 win over the Charlotte Independence, Orlando City B (4-5-2, 14 points) finishes its six-game home stand against first-place Louisville City FC (7-1-3, 24 points). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. E.T. The match will be streamed live at www.OrlandoCitySC.com/LIVE.
"It's a game we're looking forward to. Welcoming in the Eastern Conference leaders to Titan Soccer Complex, it's going to be a good game for us," OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis said. "We're in good form, there's no getting away from that. The boys are confident. Winning breeds confidence, hopefully we can keep this run going. We are aware that we are coming up against a very good team in Louisville that has threats and it's important that we're ready for what they throw at us, but also for us to try and cause them some problems."
In their last match, OCB overcame a one-goal halftime deficit to earn its second consecutive victory. 17-year-old Pierre Da Silva equalized with his first professional goal before assisting on Craig Nitti's game-winning first goal in purple. Goalkeeper Jake Fenlason made two saves in his first professional start to earn his first career win.
Michael Cox and Tyler Turner lead the Lions with three goals and an assist each in nine and 10 games, respectively. 2016 MLS SuperDraft first-round pick Hadji Barry has two goals and an assist in five games.
Louisville City enters the match on a nine-game unbeaten run and has won of three of its last four. Louisville went the entire month of May without allowing a goal, posting five consecutive shutouts. In their last match, Louisville defeated the Charleston Battery 2-0, riding goals from George Davis IV and Kyle Smith.
Jon Chandler Hoffman leads Louisville with seven goals in 10 games, while Niall McCabe leads the team with three assists in nine games.
This is the second meeting of the season between these teams after Louisville were 4-1 victors at Louisville Slugger Field on April 9.
This is the also final of six consecutive home matches for OCB; the Lions have gone 3-1-1 during the home stand. OCB's next match is on Saturday, June 11, at the Charleston Battery. The Lions return to Titan Soccer Complex on Sunday, June 19, to host New York Red Bulls II. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. E.T.
