Oakland Roots Sign Midfielder Wolfgang Prentice
March 11, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Oakland Roots News Release
Oakland Roots have signed Midfielder Wolfgang Prentice following a preseason trial period. The former Cal State University Northrige Midfielder earned his spot for the 2022 USL Championship season.
"Wolfgang came in early in preseason and worked hard to prove himself," said Juan Guerra. "His talent, character and how hungry he is makes him a perfect match to our locker room."
Wolfgang was born and raised in Redondo Beach, California, and spent four years at Cal State Northridge. He was named to the Big West Conference All-Freshman team in 2018. Before attending Northridge, Prentice was part of the LA Galaxy Academy and was in the 2015 USMNT U15 camp.
Single Game Tickets are now on sale for Roots first 6 home matches of the 2022 Season, including the Home Opener on Saturday, March 26th vs USL Championship newcomer Monterey Bay FC. Secure your tickets now before games sell out.
