
NYRB II Defender Andrew Lombard Undergoes Surgery

HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls II defender Andrew Lombard underwent successful surgery on his lower leg on Monday morning. The procedure for anterior compartment syndrome was performed by team doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Lombard, a Montclair native, joined NYRB II ahead of the 2017 season while recovering from foot surgery. He made his USL debut on October 14, 2017, starting against the Rochester Rhinos.
Lombard is expected to fully recover and return to training in 4-6 weeks.
