TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

The Oilers return to the ice tonight in Rapid City, South Dakota as they face the Rush at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center for the first time this season. Tulsa welcomed the Rush to the BOK Center for a solo contest earlier in December but look for a different outcome in Rapid City after suffering a 4-2 loss. With both franchises tied at 29 points, who will come out on top after this two-game series weekend?

PENALTY MURDERERS

In their last five contests, the Oilers have gone a total of 19/22 on the penalty kill. In their last three games, Tulsa has been a perfect 14/14. The Oilers rank 12th overall for the penalty kill in the ECHL.

NINJA GOALIE

Goaltender Kevin Carr has started in each of the Oilers' last 14 games and ranks fourth in the ECHL. With 1,141 minutes played this season, Carr is 11-7-1-0 with a 1.89 goals against average. Carr ranks second in the league for both minutes played and shootout wins.

ROLLING MEADOWS NATIVE ON ROLL

Rookie forward Dan DeSalvo is currently on a five game point streak. DeSalvo joins the Oilers this season in his first professional campaign after time with Bowling Green State University (14 goals as a freshman) the last four years. The Illinois product has played in 24 games with the Oilers and has registered 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists)- ranking 11th among rookies in the ECHL.

EXTRA DROPS

The Oilers defense is firm as they rank fourth in the ECHL for shots against at 26.77... Phil Brewer leads rookies in shootout goals going 2/2...
