Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (11-12) dropped a close game to the Wichita Wind Surge (10-13) on Wednesday night at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Arkansas. The loss halted a three-game win streak NWA had going. The two teams continue their series on Thursday night with a 7:05 PM CT first pitch.

Northwest Arkansas plate the first (and their only) run of the game in the home half of the first inning. Luca Tresh lifted a sacrifice fly to right, plating Peyton Wilson to give the Naturals a 1-0 lead.

Wichita scored in the top of the second to even the score, and the game stayed that way until the seventh. After a fielding error on Jeison Guzman at shortstop denied the Naturals the first out of the inning the Wind Surge put runners at second and third. *Anthony Prato's * two RBI single to center field brought in the only two runs Wichita needed. NWA loaded the bases in the ninth, but came up short in the 3-1 loss.

With the six-game series even at one game a piece, RHP Alec Marsh takes the mound for the Naturals on Thursday. Fans can get their tickets here, or tune into the broadcast with the "Voice of the Naturals", Shawn Murnin, on the Bally Live App, MiLB.TV, or listening at nwanaturals.com or through the MiLB First Pitch App, which is available on Android and IOS devices.
