The Nuts are currently on a 7-game winning streak and sit at the top of the California League North Division two games ahead of the San Jose Giants. Last night looked to be the end of the line for the streak as the Nuts went down 5-1 early in the game. With a two out, two strike, fielding mistake made by the Ports catcher in the top of the ninth, the Nuts stayed alive to take the game into extras innings. In the top of the 10th, catcher Wilfredo Rodriguez hit the go-ahead run out of the ballpark for a solo home run putting the Nuts ahead 7-6. Nuts reliever Matt Carasiti sealed the deal to record his 13th save of the season in the bottom half of the inning extending the streak to seven. The Nuts have a chance to take all seven games on this road trip with a win tonight as they take on the Ports at Banner Island at 7:10 PM tonight.

The Nuts return home tomorrow to start a 7-game homestand at John Thurman Field. They take on California League North division first half winners, the Visalia Rawhide, Thursday through Sunday and the San Jose Giants Monday through Wednesday.
