Nowick Reassigned to Kansas City

LOVELAND, Colo. - Forward Darren Nowick has been reassigned to Kansas City by the Mavericks' AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat, announced Wednesday by the clubs.

Nowick, 26, spent February with Stockton after being recalled to the AHL team on Jan.31. The Long Beach, California native has totaled three points (1G+2A) in 12 games with Stockton thus far this year, split between two call-ups.

The right-handed forward has skated in 20 games with the Mavericks, totaling 15 points on six goals and nine assists. Nowick last played with the Mavericks in the team's Jan. 30 win over Colorado, scoring a goal and registering six shots on goal in the contest.

Nowick played in 57 games with the Mavericks last season, finishing the year with 45 points (21G+24A).

The Mavericks face off against Colorado tonight at 8:05 CT to begin a four-game road swing against Mountain Division opponents.
