November 26, 2010 Is Ryan Ellis Night at the WFCU Centre

The Windsor Spitfires today announced that the team will host "Ryan Ellis Night" at the WFCU Centre on Friday, November 26, 2010 as the Spitfires host the Oshawa Generals. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Prior to the commencement of the game, the Spitfires will host special ceremonies to honour Windsor Captain Ryan Ellis' most recent achievement in setting the team's all-time career scoring record for points by a defenceman.

On November 10, 2010, Ryan Ellis broke the team's all-time record, as he registered his 230th career point, assisting on the Spitfires game-winning goal in Windsor's 5-4 overtime victory against the London Knights at the WFCU Centre.

Ellis' 230th point surpassed the previous record (229) held by Joel Quenneville who played defence for the Spitfires from 1975-1978.
