Northcraft to Gwinnett, Ross to Mississippi

PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves RHP Aaron Northcraft has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi. RHP Greg Ross has been promoted to Double-A Mississippi from High-A Lynchburg and is scheduled to start for the Braves in Wednesday's Rickwood Classic at Birmingham.

Northcraft, 24, was 7-3 with a 2.88 ERA in 13 games with the M-Braves. He was selected as a 2014 Southern League Mid-Season All-Star. He currently ranks sixth in the Southern League with a 2.88 ERA. Northcraft also has an 8.46 strikeout per nine innings pitch ratio-fourth best among all starters in the league. He spent the entire 2013 season in Mississippi, posting a record of 8-8 with a 3.42 ERA in 26 starts. Northcraft was selected by the Braves in the 10th round of the 2009 draft.

Ross, 24, was 5-3 with a 3.50 ERA in 15 games at High-A Lynchburg. He was selected as a 2014 Carolina League Mid-Season All-Star. Ross posted his best numbers during the month of May when he went 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA in five starts for the Hillcats. The Baltimore native was selected by the Braves in the 18th round of the 2011 draft out of Frostburg State Univeristy.

The Mississippi roster has 23 active players and 4 disabled.
