Nooga Nine Sweep BayBears
July 22, 2018 - Southern League (SL1)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
It's a great feeling when the broom comes out for a series sweep. That's exactly what the "Nooga Nine" did Sunday in Mobile with a 9-4 thrashing of the BayBears. Zander Wiel provided the early lead with his seventh home run of the season and a 3-1 lead. Nine Lookouts would come to the plate for a five to one lead after three. Tanner English would have a two hit day including his fourth home run of the season. Every player had at least one hit with the only exception being Brent Rooker. Lewis Thorpe pitched a six inning gem of an outing for his fifth victory of the year. Monday the Lookouts face Pensacola for a five game series with TBA for pitchers on both teams.
