Mobile BayBears News Release

MOBILE, Ala. - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, led 6-1 through five innings but were defeated 12-10 by the Chattanooga Lookouts in an 11-inning game Saturday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Jose Rojas drove in four early runs with a two-run homer in the first inning and a two-run double in the third. Jahmai Jones also picked up his fifth RBI of the series with a third-inning double. However, the early 6-1 lead was not enough.

Chattanooga (47-51 overall, 11-18 second) responded with three runs in the sixth, two in the seventh, and one in the eighth to tie the game. After both teams scored in the 10th, the Lookouts plated four runs against Sean Isaac (0-1) in the top of the 11th. Jordan Gore hit a sacrifice fly, Zander Wiel hit an RBI single, and Brent Rooker followed with a two-run double.

With the loss, Mobile's (48-48, 11-17) season-long losing streak increases to nine games. The BayBears have not had a 10-game losing streak since 2009.

The BayBears wrap up the five-game home series against Chattanooga Sunday at 5:05 p.m. CDT.
