
Noah Hall Signed By Yankees, Assigned To Trenton

(Manchester, NH)- The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that OF Noah Hall has been signed by the Yankees and assigned to Trenton. To make room for Hall on the roster, RHP Jason Stephens has been transferred to the roster of the Staten Island Yankees (SS).
Hall was signed out of non-affiliated baseball. He had a .319 BA with four home runs and 21 RBI in 25 games for Somerset (IND) in the Atlantic League.
In 2008, Hall split time in the Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners organizations. For Charlotte (Triple-A), he hit .292 in 15 games. Hall also appeared in 26 games for Birmingham (Double-A) and had a .226 BA with 12 RBI. He finished the season with West Tennessee (Double-A), and batted .302 with seven RBI in 15 games. Hall spent most of the 2007 season in Trenton and batted .292 in 82 games with nine home runs and 50 RBI.
Hall has also played in the Montreal Expos, Cincinnati Reds, Toronto Blue Jays, and Baltimore Orioles organizations. He has previously played in the Eastern League with Harrisburg (00' and 03') and Bowie (06'). Hall was originally drafted by the Expos in the 27th round of the 1995 draft out of San Jose City College.
Stephens was 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two games (one start) for the Thunder. He started for the Thunder on 5/17 in the second game of a double-header in Binghamton. He went five innings and allowed one run and one hit for a no-decision. He was transferred to Trenton on 5/13 from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He appeared in three games (one start) for S/W-B and had a 1-1 record with a 5.40 ERA. The Tallmadge, Ohio native split the 2008 season with Charleston (Low-A), Tampa (High-A) and Trenton. He appeared in 17 games (eight starts) for Charleston and went 2-3 with a 3.02 ERA. He had a 3-5 record with a 4.47 ERA in 11 games (eight starts) for Tampa. In Trenton, he made one start for the Thunder on 8/8 vs. Akron. Stephens was drafted by the Yankees in the 6th round of the 2003 draft out of Tallmadge High School.
Trenton and New Hampshire continue a four-game series tonight at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. Game time is set for 7:05 pm. RHP Ryan Pope (2-2, 4.32) will start for the Thunder against New Hampshire RHP Brandon Magee (2-1, 2.63).
