Although there were fireworks after their 4th of July game, Jupiter's series opener against the Charlotte Stone Crabs lacked pop, ending in a 3-1 loss.
Starter Jordan Holloway struggled to find a rhythm, allowing five hits and walking five. However, he did strikeout five and only three runs were added to his line when he left the mound.
Lefty Sean Guenther took over to hold off the Stone Crabs, pitching a solid 2.1 hitless innings with one strikeout. In his first appearance with Jupiter, 2019 draftee Jeff Lindgren threw 2.0 scoreless innings with just one hit and two strikeouts to finish the game.
Besides an RBI single from Lazaro Alonso in the first that batted in Victor Victor Mesa, who reached on a double, the Hammerheads
Jupiter continues their series against Charlotte Friday night at 6:30pm at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
