Waterloo, Iowa - NHL Central Scouting affirmed its September grades for two current and one former Waterloo Black Hawks players who are prospects for the 2016 National Hockey League Draft, the Hawks announced Tuesday.

Sam Rossini, Garrett Wait, and Ethan Spaxman are each draft candidates with ties to Waterloo. Rossini and Wait are currently on the Hawks' active roster, while Spaxman is a freshman at Merrimack College after skating for the team last season.

Tuesday's Central Scouting grades were on an "A/B/C" scale, with "A" indicating that the player is a first round draft candidate, "B" projecting a second or third round selection, and "C" suggesting a pick in the fourth through sixth rounds. As it was in September, Rossini was given a "B" rating, while Wait and Spaxman took "C" marks on Tuesday. In January, Central Scouting will release a ranking of the leading 200-plus North American skaters, before unveiling a final list in April.

Rossini has skated in all 16 Hawks games so far this season, recording two goals and two assists. His +6 plus/minus differential is tied for third on the team. Last year in his rookie season, Rossini netted a goal and four assists during 44 appearances. He is committed to the University of Minnesota.

Wait - another Gopher recruit - has also been a fixture in the Waterloo lineup during the first quarter of the 2015/16 schedule. He has two goals and an assist, with a -2 mark. Both goals which Wait has scored have proven to be game-winners for the Hawks.

Meanwhile on the east coast, Spaxman has played in ten of the Warriors' 11 games. He has scored twice and is +1. The 6-4 blue-liner spent most of 2014/15 in Waterloo, notching two goals, 14 assists, and a +1 mark. The Brantford, Ontario, native appeared for the Hawks 43 times.

In June, Brock Boeser became the earliest Black Hawk ever chosen during an NHL Draft when he was selected by the Vancouver Canucks with the 23rd overall pick. Then during the third round, the Nashville Predators claimed Tom Novak. Current Black Hawk David Cotton was a sixth round selection of the Carolina Hurricanes.
