Montreal, Nov. 10, 2005 - After Matthieu Proulx and Scott Flory were honoured yesterday, nine Alouettes players learned today that they were named on the East Division All-Star team:
OFFENCE
Running back: ROBERT EDWARDS (1st nomination) 187 carries, 1199 yards (6.4 avg), 8 toucdowns (3rd CFL)
Slotback: BEN CAHOON (6th nomination - 1999, 2000, 2002 to 2004) 73 receptions, 1,067 yards, 9 touchdowns in 14 games
Wide receiver: KERRY WATKINS (1st nomination) 97 receptions, 1,364 yards, 9 touchdowns in 17 games (3rd CFL)
Centre: BRYAN CHIU (6th nomination - 2000 to 2004) 2002 CFL Most Outstanding Lineman 2001 East Division Most Outstanding Lineman
Guard: SCOTT FLORY (4th nomination - 2002 to 2004) 2003 and 2005 East Division Most Outstanding Lineman
Tackle: UZOOMA OKEKE (7th nomination - 1997 to 1999, 2002 to 2004) 1999 CFL Most Outstanding Lineman 1998 and 2004 East Division Most Outstanding Lineman
DEFENCE
Defensive tackle: ED PHILION (3rd nomination - 2003, 2004) 30 defensive tackles, 7 quarterback sacks
Linebacker: DUANE BUTLER (1st nomination) 6 fumble returns for 21 yards (1st CFL), 3 forced fumbles, 65 tackles (1st Alouettes), 2 quarterback sacks
Maraudeur: RICHARD KARIKARI (1st nomination) 9 interceptions, 188 yards, 1 touchdown (2nd LCF)
