Maryland NightHawks News Release

Rockville, MD. The ABA Maryland Nighthawks are pleased to announce that local drive time personality, JP Flaim of the #1 morning show in the Washington DC area, The Junkies, will suit up as the 11th man at Saturday night's Nighthawks game. The Hoop Dreams Foundation (http://hoopdreams.org/) a wonderful local charity will benefit from JP's appearance - and at halftime, he will shoot free throws and for each one made, the Nighthawks and other sponsors will donate money to Hoop Dreams. NBA legend Magic Johnson has lent his name to this wonderful cause and has appeared with The Junkies. Comcast Cable will be covering the game. And, according to Tom Doyle, Nighthawks owner, "As long as we have JP in uniform, we might even get him into the game. One thing's for sure, if you listen to The Junkies, you know they're fun - and that's what Saturday night's game will be." For more information, visit www.marylandnighthawks.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
