LA Aftershock's Will Burr selected to All-Star Team
February 14, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Los Angeles Aftershock News Release
Will Burr's continued dedication and leadership have paid off as on February 7th he was selected to represent the Aftershock in the All-Star game in Florida. Unfortunately, due to immediate travel to Bellingham, WA for a three game set versus the Slam, Will declined the opportunity to travel to Florida this weekend and play in the All-Star game. "I knew it would be difficult to travel to Florida for the weekend only to come back to LA for a flight to Bellingham." The All-Star guard continued, "Coming back to Los Angeles next week with three wins against Bellingham is a priority. We are in the playoff hunt and I want to be at the top of my game for this week."
Will has showed tremendous play and leadership throughout the season. As a natural shooting guard, Will sacrificed without question and moved to the point guard position for the benefit of the team. "His dedication to Coach Andre Smith and the Aftershock has been greatly appreciated. I know I can go to Will with thoughts on the organization and get great feedback from him on how the team feels as a whole." President and Owner Shawn Blattenberger added.
"This is an honor and I was thrilled to hear that I was selected, however, it is a credit and testimony to my team. Anyone of the guys could have been selected. In my mind, we are an All-Star team. We rely on one another to get the win." Will stated.
Will Burr leads the Aftershock into Bellingham for games on February, 14th, 16th, and 17th.
All Aftershock games can be heard on the web at the teams web site with pre-game shows beginning 30 minutes before game time with Head Coach Andre Smith.
