February 14, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Salt Lake City, UT. The new expansion ABA Utah Dream today announced that it would hold a Press Conference on Thursday, February 16 at 2pm at the GMA Building located at 3135 S. 1300 E in Salt Lake City. The press conference will unveil the team's new owner, Kenny Wamsley, to the public; his mission statement for the team as well as his personal vision for the team. He will also officially announce the team name and logo, the team slogan, and you will witness the first player signing for the team - a former NBA player who's background and experience is a true staple for the team and community. The head coach of the team will also be announced - a championship winning coach who will bring a wealth of enthusiasm and entertainment to the team and the league.

In an earlier announcement, Joe Newman, ABA CEO said, "Salt Lake City is a great city and a great basketball city. It is a shame they were not playing there this season. We couldn't be happier. The city has a new owner with a passion and commitment to excellence and we have no doubt this ownership group will maximize on this opportunity. They know the market and they know the community well, and will make this a great success."

Kenny Wamsley, team owner, added: "This is an exciting time for us and we hope that you will attend our press conference. We would appreciate your support very much - and hope that you will RSVP as we will also serve lunch. We look forward to seeing you there - "DARE TO DREAM."
