Sunday, January 14, will be a special day for New Haven Nighthawks fans who attend the Bridgeport Sound Tigers game at the Arena at Harbor Yard. The Sound Tigers will hold a New Haven Nighthawks Reunion at 1 p.m. prior to the game against the Providence Bruins. Come to the game to see Nighthawk greats from the '70s, '80s and '90s! Players from the original blue and yellow uniform era, the red, white and blue period and franchise-ending silver and black teams will be on hand. Players who are scheduled to participate during a pregame ceremony are: Glen "Chico" Resch, Bobby Nystrom, Charles Burns, Andre Dore, Dave Hainsworth, Ray Clearwater, Scott MacPhail, Bob Sheehan, Mike Backman and Paul Kelly. Nighthawk Head Coach Parker MacDonald and play-by-play announcer Jim Slattery will also be on hand.

A video of Nighthawks game highlights will be played during the ceremony and former Nighthawk greats will stick around to sign autographs after the game. Fans are invited to bring old pennants, programs and other Nighthawks souvenirs to be signed by the players. Come to the game early to honor the former American Hockey League franchise and then cheer on Southern Connecticut's current AHL team, the Sound Tigers, as they tangle with the Bruins.
