Bears sign Kyle Wilson to AHL contract

HERSHEY - The 2006 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today the club has signed center Kyle Wilson to a standard players contract through the 2007-08 season. The announcement was made Thursday by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Wilson, a four-year standout for the Colgate University, scored 23 goals in 39 games during his senior season in 2005-06. He scored one goal in seven games with San Antonio (AHL) earlier this season, and also skated with South Carolina (ECHL), scoring three goals in five games. Since being recalled from the Stingrays on December 1, he has compiled nine goals and nine assists for 18 points for the BEARS, including two goals in his HERSHEY debut December 2 vs. Manitoba. He compiled points in eight straight games from December 20 to December 31.

The BEARS conclude a five-game road trip this Friday and Saturday in Binghamton and Bridgeport before returning home to face the Albany River Rats Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR. Sunday is Huggins Printing Team Picture night, with a free 2006-07 HERSHEY BEARS Team Picture to the first 5,000 fans in attendance.
