Rivermen Unveil $5,000 for 7,000 Promotion

Peoria, IL (January 11, 2007) - Peoria Rivermen President/CEO Bart Rogers announced today that one lucky fan will take home $5,000 each time the team draws more than 7,000 fans at any of its five remaining January home games.

"We're ecstatic to implement this innovative approach to further develop our great fan base," Rogers said. "There a number of great promotions and incentives we offer everyone to enjoy Rivermen Hockey, and this initiative moves that effort forward in an extremely positive manner. Our ownership is committed to breaking ground with our promotions and being a leader in the world of professional hockey."

On Friday, January 12, the Rivermen face off against the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. It is a Coca-Cola/Insight Date Night. Fans receive two (2) tickets, two (2) Cokes and a tub of popcorn for just $25. It is also Par-A-Dice Hotel-Casino Night, and the first 1,500 fans (21 & over) receive a deck of playing cards. The team will also wear jerseys commemorating the franchise's 2000 ECHL Kelly Cup Championship that will be auctioned off after the game. And U.S. Cellular's 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time continues with Curtis Sanford cards to the first 2,500 fans. On Saturday, January 13, Peoria hosts the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:00 p.m. It is OSF-St. Francis Medical Center/Children's Hospital of Illinois T-Shirt Night for the first 2,000 fans. And Kaufman Wellness Center will be on hand for free spinal checks and back massages.
