
Nick Ritchie Invited to Attend National Junior Team Selection Camp

(Peterborough, ON, December 1, 2014)- The Peterborough Petes are pleased to announce that winger Nick Ritchie has been invited to attend the 2014/15 National Junior Team Sport Check Selection Camp which will take place between December 11 and 15 in Toronto.
Nick will compete with 28 others players, including two goalies, ten defenceman, and seventeen forwards during the selection camp. The roster will be reduced to 22 players before the World Junior Hockey Championship roster freeze deadline on December 19. All 29 players on the selection camp roster play in the Canadian Hockey League, twelve of which play in the OHL.
Nick was drafted by the Petes in the first round, second overall in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. The 6'2.5", 226lbs Orangeville, Ontario native has recorded 86 goals, 90 assists, and 176 points along with 311 penalty minutes in 187 OHL games played. He was selected in the first round, tenth overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Canada opens the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship on Boxing Day when it faces Slovakia in Montreal. All of Canada's games at the World Juniors will be broadcast live by TSN and RDS, the official broadcasters of Hockey Canada; check local listings for broadcast times in your area.
Tickets for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship are still available in both host cities.
In Montreal, single-game tickets are now on sale for all 12 games at the Bell Centre, including four Team Canada preliminary round games and two-quarter-finals, starting at just $25. In addition, three mini ticket packages, including either four or five games, and all featuring at least one Team Canada game, are on sale starting at $170, plus applicable fees.
In Montreal, 13-game ticket packages include one Team Canada pre-competition game, four Team Canada preliminary round games, six other round robin games, and two quarter-finals.
In Toronto, 19-game packages include one Team Canada pre-competition game, 10 preliminary round games, two quarter-finals, two relegation round games, two semifinals, the bronze medal game and gold medal game.
