Roster Update
December 1, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves reduced their roster to 22 players this week as free-agent forward Brook Hiddink has elected to return to his home in St. Thomas, Ontario to pursue his educational studies. The 18-year-old forward was signed by the Wolves on November 8th and played eight games for the club while recording one goal.
In other news, the Wolves are awaiting word from the OHL office on Brody Silk's suspension as a result of a hit late in the game against the Guelph Storm on Friday night. Silk, 20, was suspended for last weekend games pending further review by the league. Silk was assessed a five-minute major penalty for a head-check, which is automatically reviewed by the league office.
The Wolves have begun preparations to host the #1-ranked team in the country - the Oshawa Generals on Friday night. Game time is 7:30. There are plenty of great seats available for Friday night's contest versus Florida Panthers' Josh Brown and the Generals. The Wolves host Stephan Leblanc and the Mississauga Steelheads on Sunday at 2:00 pm to close-out the weekend. Tickets are now on sale for both contests at the Sudbury Arena ticket office or online.
