Nick Porco Named Huron Tractor Player of the Week

Overage forward, Nick Porco has been named the Attack's Huron Tractor Player of the Week, for the week of Jan. 31st - Feb 6th.

Porco was a big key in the Attack claiming four points from the rival Guelph Storm over the week. He jammed home a rebound late in the game Friday night in Guelph to even the score, before getting the Attack on the board Saturday night with a gorgeous short-handed break-away goal. Porco also picked up an assists on the game tying goal mid-way through the third period.

It was not just the games against the Storm where Porco was contributing offensively, as he added goals in each of the Attack's other two games during the week. First, the forward showed off his shot in Kitchener, going post and in to even the game early. Porco, then scored his second short-handed goal of the week, Sunday afternoon against the London Knights, once again showing his speed off a turnover and burying the break-away chance.

Porco now has 7 goals, while adding 6 assists in his 14 games since joining the Attack in early January. The overage forward has brought a never give up attitude and relentless work ethic to the team, and helped the Owen Sound penalty kill go a perfect 14-for-14 during the games against Kitchener and Guelph.
