
Nick McCoy Promoted to Double-A Trenton

CHARLESTON, SC -The New York Yankees have announced that catcher Nick McCoy has been promoted from the Charleston RiverDogs to the Double-A Trenton Thunder.
Simultaneously, catcher Wes Wilson has been promoted to Charleston from the Short Season Staten Island Yankees and will take McCoy's spot on the roster.
A 5'10", 180 pound right-handed hitter out of San Diego, California, McCoy hit .179 with one double and one RBI in eight games for Charleston this year. McCoy also spent all of 2012 with the RiverDogs. He was drafted by the Yankees organization in the 36th round of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft out of the University of California, San Diego.
Wilson spent 2012 in Staten Island and hit .262 with three doubles, three RBI, and one triple. The 23 year-old is a native of Lexington, KY and was signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in 2011 out of Indiana University.
