Walk Off Victory for the Braves

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Greenville Drive 3-2 in extra innings Wednesday night in front of 3,013 fans on a tenth inning homerun by Blake Brown. It was Rome's sixth consecutive win.

The Braves made it a 1-0 game in the fourth inning thanks to an RBI single by Brian McCann. Greenville took a 2-1 lead in the fifth on a two RBI single by Cody Koback.

McCann who was in Rome on a rehab assignment cracked a solo shot in the seventh tying the game 2-2. It was his third home run while serving the rehab stint with Rome. With the game heading to extra innings, Blake Brown tagged an 0 -1 pitch over the left field wall in the bottom of the tenth sending Rome fans home happy with the 3-2 win. It was Brown's first home run of the season.

Rome's Carlos Perez (2-0) picked up the win in relief and Greenville's Jason Garcia (2-1) got the loss.
