Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats are pleased to announce local businessman Stacey Cattell is joining the organization as the team's new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He takes over for the current COO Marty Klyne, who has accepted a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role with another organization. That announcement will be made in the near future.

Mr. Cattell comes to the Pats having spent the last 13 years at Rawlco Radio, in various roles, including his most recent position as the National, Regional and CJME Sales Manager. Prior to that, he spent seven years with the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club including time as the Director of Corporate Development, and club liaison for the 1995 Grey Cup construction and sponsorship committees. The Regina product returns to the team after starting his career with the Pats from 1984-87 as a marketing and game day assistant.

"We are pleased to be able to bring on board someone of Stacey's calibre and experience," said Regina Pats President Todd Lumbard. "With his background in broadcast sales and having worked in sport with one of the country's top brands, he brings a unique skill set that will greatly benefit our organization, sponsors and fans."

In the role of COO, Cattell will be responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the Regina Pats. He will oversee everything from ticket sales and sponsorship to advancing the game night experience for the Pats Regiment.

"I'm humbled to be coming to a team where my career began, and has such a storied history spanning almost a century," said Stacey Cattell. "Joining an organization that is building a strong presence in the community and across the country is exciting. I'm looking forward to meeting our staff, sponsors and fans, and getting to work during what is proving to be a very exciting season."

Queen City Sports and Entertainment Group (QCSEG), owners of the Regina Pats, want to thank Marty Klyne for his service. He joined the team on April 28, 2015. During his time with the organization, Klyne and his team made some valued adjustments and changes in business practice and operating procedures that resulted in advancing an engaging and entertaining game day experience. A strong sales and marketing foundation was also established to build on for the future. Marty will remain connected to the organization in a supporting role as a Special Advisor to QCSEG.

Stacey is married to Patti Sandison - Cattell. Their daughter Hayley is completing an international studies degree at the University of Regina. He will join the Pats effective January 30, 2017.

Reminder for media: Todd Lumbard and Stacey Cattell will be available for a scrum outside the Pats Office at 11 a.m.
