
New York Red Bulls to Host Sixth Annual "Battle on the Pitch"

HARRISON, NJ (September 25, 2014) - The New York Red Bulls will host the sixth annual "Battle on the Pitch" featuring soccer squads of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, October 4 at Red Bull Arena. The NYPD and FDNY sides will face off following the completion of the Red Bulls' 6:00 PM match against the Houston Dynamo.
Fans are encouraged to stick around and root for the teams while supporting two great causes. Proceeds from the match will go toward Firefighter Villanueva Soccer Foundation ( http://www.sergiosoccerfoundation.org/ ) and the NYCPBA Widows' and Children's Fund ( http://www.nycpba.org/fund/ ).
