
New York Red Bulls Sign NYRB II Defender Omar Valencia on a Short-Term Agreement Ahead of Tonight's Match

HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls have signed New York Red Bulls II defender Omar Valencia to a short-term agreement, the club announced today.
The defender will be available for the Red Bulls' MLS regular season match against Columbus Crew tonight at Lower.com Field. The contest will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage of MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
Valencia, 19, has been with New York Red Bulls II for the last two seasons on loan from C.D. Plaza Amador. The defender has made 11 career appearances for NYRB II, while making nine starts and recording one assist. Valencia made his debut for the Panamanian National Team on June 11, 2022, in a friendly against Uruguay.
Following tonight's match, New York will return home to host New England Revolution for Marvel Night on Saturday, June 8 at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
