
New York Red Bulls Open 28th Season at Exploria Stadium against Orlando City SC

The New York Red Bulls (0-0-0, 0 pts.) open up their 28th season in franchise history against Orlando City SC (0-0-0, 0 pts.) on February 25 at Exploria Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV MLS Season pass and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com
Coverage on Apple TV in English and Spanish begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Andres Cordero will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Jamie Watson on the English side, while Ramsus Sandoval will have the play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Walter Roque on the Spanish broadcast. New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.
This will be the 18th regular season meeting between New York and Orlando, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the overall series with a 9-6-2 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 3-1-0 regular season record at Exploria Stadium, including winning the last two meetings in Orlando. Orlando open their ninth season in franchise history after finishing in sixth place in the Eastern Conference in 2022.
The Red Bulls have fared well in season openers, posting a 13-9-5 record in their opening matches of the season. They have posted a 5-1-0 mark in their last six openers, including being unbeaten in their last three road season openers (2-0-1). Last season, New York recorded their best road record in franchise history with a 9-5-3 mark. The Red Bulls recorded franchise highs in road wins (9) and points gained on the road (30).
Midfielder Lewis Morgan signed a new three-year contract through 2025. Morgan led the club in goals scored last season with 14 in the regular season and 18 across all competitions. The 14 MLS regular season goals ranked third amongst active MLS midfielders last season. The Paisley, Scotland native recorded the most goals by a midfielder in a single season in franchise history. Morgan has scored in two-straight games across all competitions at Exploria Stadium.
Following Saturday's match, New York will host their 2023 MLS home opener against Nashville SC at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, March 4. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm. ET with coverage on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via Tune In, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
