New York Liberty News Release
Only Two More Days Until Tip-Off!
The 2005 season is here! The Liberty tips-off its ninth campaign on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. as the Detroit Shock roll into town for Opening Day at Madison Square Garden. Be there for all the action!
Sunday will be only the second time in team history that the Liberty has opened the season at home. Come cheer on Becky Hammon, Shameka Christon and the rest of the Liberty as they do battle with Ruth Riley, Cheryl Ford and the Shock.
There's always exciting WNBA action at The Garden, but the Liberty wants to make sure you get the most out of our games. Be one of the first 5,000 fans to come out to The Garden on Sunday for Opening Day and receive a FREE Liberty calendar, courtesy of Verizon Wireless! Hungry? Pick up a $4 popcorn for just $2 at the concession stands. And after screaming all afternoon for your home team stop by Play by Play after the game for savings on special drafts, bottles and margaritas!
It's not too late to purchase your tickets! Visit the MSG Box Office, call 877-WNBA-TIX or log onto nyliberty.com.
See you at The Garden!
