New York Liberty Holding Open Auditions for Cheer & Dance Teams

New York, NY - March 19, 2013 - The New York Liberty will hold open auditions for its Timeless Torches and Lil' Torches cheer and dance teams on Sunday, March 24 at Ripley Grier Studios in midtown Manhattan, beginning at 10am.
Registration begins at 10am for the Timeless Torches audition and doors close at 10:30am. The Liberty are looking for men and women at least 40 years old, no formal dance training is necessary, just lots of energy! The Lil' Torches are comprised of trained male and female dancers and gymnasts between 6-14 years old. One parent must be present to sign a waiver at the registration, which will begin at 1pm with doors closing at 1:30pm.
Both teams will rehearse between April and September in Manhattan, with all performances taking place at Liberty games at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Individuals interested in auditioning for either team should call 212-465-4450 or email auditions@msg.com.
