May 15, 2023 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)
New York Liberty News Release
NEW YORK - The New York Liberty announced its 2023 regular-season broadcast schedule, including 21 YES Network games. This season, all 40 of the Liberty's games will be showcased by the WNBA's national partners including ABC (3), CBS (2), CBSSN (4), ESPN (3), ESPN2 (3), ESPN3 (1), ION (8), and NBA TV (7), as well as nine national digital streams including Prime Video, Twitter, and Meta.
New York's expanded coverage schedule precedes one of the most highly-anticipated seasons in WNBA history. This past off-season, the original WNBA franchise added two former MVP winners in Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones, alongside all-time great and WNBA Champion, Courtney Vandersloot.
"Accessibility to our games has never been more important ahead of this extremely exciting time in New York Liberty history," said Liberty CEO Keia Clarke. "Whether you watch Liberty games on linear or stream digitally, our comprehensive broadcast schedule is designed to meet our dedicated fanbase, both in and out-of-market, wherever they are."
21 Liberty games will be broadcast on YES Network, the team's official regional TV partner for the fifth season, as well as the YES App which is now available by subscription here. YES Network will feature a talent roster of Chris Shearn and Zora Stephenson on play-by-play duties, Julianne Viani-Braen as broadcast analyst, and Meghan Triplett as the Liberty's courtside reporter for home telecasts.
Additionally, eight regular-season Liberty matchups will be broadcast on ION, all of which are part of the WNBA Friday Night Spotlight on ION series.
The team's season opener on Friday, May 19 in Washington, D.C. will be broadcast locally on My9 Network and the YES App, as well as NBA TV for out-of-market viewers.
