New York City FC News Release
New York, N.Y. - New York City Football Club (NYCFC) today announced a new partnership with Inter&Co (NASDAQ: INTR), a leading digital bank offering financial and non-financial services to more than 20 million customers in the United States and Brazil.
The new partnership will see Inter become the Official Remittance Partner of NYCFC and offer unique fan experiences throughout the 2023 season. With a talented contingent of Brazilian players in the First Team, NYCFC's partnership with the Brazilian based company is the Club's latest tie to the country.
Inter is the first 100% digital bank in Brazil, providing the Brazilian and Latinx community in the US a safe and reliable way to send money back home. This partnership with NYCFC marks its first major partnership in the United States as it continues its expansion in the country. Earlier this year, Inter also commenced trading as a NASDAQ-listed company, ringing the opening bell to celebrate the achievement.
Andres Gonzalez, NYCFC Vice President of Partnerships, said: "New York City is one of the most diverse cities in the world and is home to some of the largest Brazilian and Latinx populations in the country. As New York City's soccer team, we strive to represent our fans both on and off the pitch and collaborate with organizations that have similar goals and commitments to increased accessibility for everyone. We are thrilled to partner with a global brand and like-minded company in Inter."
Priscila Salles, CMO of Inter&Co, said: "We are very excited to partner with NYCFC, not only for what they represent as one of the leading teams in MLS, but also as a way to connect in a more meaningful way with the Brazilian and Latinx community in the US. Our commitment of making money remittances affordable and accessible to everyone resonates deeply with NYCFC values of inclusion and community."
Inter's remittances business services are currently available for cross-border payments originating in the United States, Brazil and Canada to more than 60 destination countries. As part of its expansion in the United States, Inter is focusing on consolidating its remittances and cross-border payments for Brazilians living in the US and those traveling abroad, as well as expanding to other underserved immigrant populations.
