
New York and LA Galaxy Clash for a Sunday Nationally-Televised Game

HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls (0-1-0, 0 points) head to the West Coast for a nationally-televised match against LA Galaxy (1-0-0, 3 points) on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET with coverage on FS1, FOX Deportes and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 5 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 5:30 p.m. EST.
New York and the Galaxy will square for the 46th time in league play and 22nd time in Los Angeles. The Red Bulls and Galaxy have split the last five meetings at Dignity Health Sports Park at 2-2-1 with New York winning the most recent match in Los Angeles, 3-2, on April 28, 2019. Austrian winger Daniel Royer has two goals against the Galaxy, including one of the three goals in New York's recent 3-2 win at LA.
Caden Clark picked up where he left off in 2020, opening New York's team scoring ledger with the first goal of 2021 against SKC on April 17. In nine matches across all competitions, he has tallied four goals. Clark has three goals in his five starts across all competitions.
New York has made 13 additions to the squad since October of 2020 and 11 acquisitions since the turn of the calendar. Of the 11 new additions since the start of the new year, four made the Starting XI (Coronel, Diarra, Fabio and Gutman) and one made an appearance (Carmona). The average age of the 11 acquisitions since the beginning of 2021 is 20.9 years old. The 11 new additions are a diverse group that span seven different countries, which include: Brazil, Colombia, England, Mali, Poland, Venezuela and the US.
Following Sunday's West Coast match, New York returns East for a two-match homestand. The Red Bulls open their two-match stint at Red Bull Arena with Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, May 1. Kickoff against Chicago is set for 1 p.m. ET on MSG and MSG GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com
