Toledo Mud Hens News Release
The Toledo Mud Hens are on pace to break the club's All-Time Attendance record of 547,204, set in 2002, the first year of Fifth Third Field.
After Friday and Saturday night's capacity sellouts, the current attendance sits at 522,308. Saturday's game marked the 28th sell-out of the 2005 campaign, and the 105th since the opening of the Downtown jewel in 2002.
With four home games remaining, the Hens need to average 6,224 fans per game to break the record. The current average is 7,795 Mud Hens faithful per night.
Toledo has clinched a berth in the 2005 playoffs, and look to wrap up the International League West Division crown, as the magic number sits at three games prior to play on Sunday. Also opening play on Sunday afternoon, the Hens are the proud owners of the bet record in Triple-A baseball at 83-52, an impressive 31 games over .500.
