
Bulls plan relief effort for Hurricane Katrina

Durham, NC - With the impending impact of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast states, the Durham Bulls today announced for every ticket sold tomorrow for the Bulls 1:00 PM season finale against the Richmond Braves, ½ of all ticket proceeds will be donated to the disaster relief. The team will also donate their remaining supplies of ConAgra food products to the relief effort.
"Hurricane Katrina is shaping up to be a disaster beyond our comprehension," Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said, "with tomorrow being our last home game of the season, we wanted to serve as a venue for our fans to help in what will no doubt be a major relief effort."
The Durham Bulls Box Office will open tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM. Tickets may be purchased by phone at (919) 956-BULL or online at www.durhambulls.com.
