Toledo Mud Hens News Release
The Toledo Mud Hens and the Toledo Police Mounted Patrol will be announcing the name of the newest member of the Mounted Patrol at the Hens game on Monday, September 4th at 1pm. This announcement will take place during the 3rd inning of the Mud Hens last regular season game. The Mud Hens helped sponsor this new horse and had fans vote on a new name for the past two weeks on their website. The choices were: Mr. Ned, Fleetwood, Casey, Klinger, Henry, Champ and Victory. The horse will be greeting Mud Hens fans outside the ballpark before Monday's game. According to Cheri Pastula, Community Relations Manager for the Mud Hens, "We are certainly appreciative of the efforts of the Mounted Patrol to keep the area around our ballpark safe. The fans love to interact with these horses on their way to Fifth Third Field and we thought it would be appropriate to have the fans choose a name."
