New Mexico United News Release
Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United is thrilled to announce the acquisition of United States Youth International Jacobo Reyes, pending league and federation approval. Reyes joins the Black & Yellow from Monterrey Rayados, where he has made 142 appearances for CF Monterrey of Liga MX, Raya 2 of Liga de Expansion MX, and CF Monterrey U-20. He joins on loan for the remainder of the 2023 season, with an extension beyond this year.
"Jacobo is a dynamic player with high-level international experience, as well as top flight experience in Mexico," said United Head Coach Eric Quill. "He will bring a terrific energy, drive, and talent to our club, and make us stronger as we fight for a title."
"Jacobo's talent is impossible to ignore," said United Sporting Director Itamar Keinan. "We are excited to welcome him to the Black & Yellow family, and are confident that his skillset and determination will help push us to the next level."
Reyes has made 16 international appearances for the U.S. and Mexico, and met United Head Coach Eric Quill in camp with the U-19 U.S. Men's National Team.
