New Mascot Unveiled
April 10, 2015 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Rome Emperors News Release
Rome, GA - Rome Braves fans were treated to the unveiling of a new mascot Thursday during Opening Night festivities at State Mutual Stadium. Roman, the new son of longtime popular mascots Romey and Roxie was introduced to the delight of the large crowd during the game between Asheville and Rome.
Romey first came to State Mutual Stadium in 2003 and is the greatest Rome Brave of all time. In 2005, he met Roxie down by the Oostanaula River and they had an instant connection. The two began dating and couldn't imagine life without one another. Romey and Roxie got married and Thursday night came to the stadium with Roman to meet everyone for the first time.
The mascots will interact with fans during all home games and will continue to appear at community functions and events throughout Northwest Georgia.
Rome continues their series tonight at seven against the Asheville Tourists. For ticket information call 706-378-5144 or check romebraves.com.
