New York Boulders News Release
The Boulders' offense was clicking throughout the afternoon against the Jackals, but Rockland (32-33) was out-slugged by New Jersey (32-31) in a 14-9 marathon. Collin Ferguson and Grant Heyman each hit home runs, while teammate Marcos Almonte recorded two RBIs.
Rockland trailed by nine runs at the conclusion of the top of the fifth inning, but the Boulders eventually rallied to pull to within three thanks to Ferguson's three-run blast in the eighth inning. New Jersey tacked on two more insurance runs to seal the victory.
Kevin Baez led his team to eight wins on this record-setting 11-game homestand at Palisades Credit Union Park. The Boulders still hold a playoff spot, and travel to Montclair to battle the Jackals on Wednesday at 11:05 a.m.
