Sussex County 4, Quebec 3 (10 Innings) - Box Score

Pinch runner Jarred Mederos scored the game winning run on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the 10th inning as Sussex County defeated Quebec, 4-3.

Mederos, who pinch ran for C Gavin Stupienski, started at second base due to the international tiebreaker rules. The next batter, DH Kalian Sams, sacrificed Mederos over to third with one out. Center fielder Mikey Reynolds and 2B Trey Hair then followed Sams and both were intentionally walked to load up the bases. First baseman Audy Ciriaco then came to the plate and hit into a fielder's choice, scoring Mederos from third base and giving the Miners the walk-off win.

Reynolds went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI while Sams collected two hits and scored a pair of runs.

Sussex County pitcher Kevin Grendell tossed a scoreless inning of relief and picked-up the victory. The southpaw allowed a walk and struck out one in the four batters he faced. With the win, Grendell is now 5-3 on the year.

Ottawa 8, Trois-Rivieres 6 - Box Score

Second baseman Maikol Gonzalez's two-run single in the top of the eighth inning gave Ottawa an 8-6 lead and they would go on to beat Trois-Rivieres by that same margin. The Aigles had a 6-1 lead after an inning of play before the Champions rallied with a run in the third, and two more in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings to take home the win.

Gonzalez led the way at the plate for Ottawa going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Champions leadoff hitter Malik Collymore collected two hits and scored three runs while 1B Leonardo Reginatto had a 2-for-5 night with an RBI. In total, Ottawa had 12 hits in the contest.

Champions pitcher Miles Sheehan threw 2/3 of an inning of relief and notched the victory. Sheehan struck out one in the two batters he faced.

For Trois-Rivieres in the loss, SS Tucker Nathans had a 2-for-3 night with a walk and an RBI.
