St. Louis Cardinals RHP Matt Morris has recorded an 11-3 record, with his most recent decision coming in a 6-run, 6-inning performance loss vs. Chicago on July 23rd. Morris has pitched in 115.2 innings this season and has 81 Ks against 18 walks. OF Covelli CoCoCrisp, currently with the Cleveland Indians, is hitting .293 (105-358) through 88 games with 24 doubles, 2 triples, 8 HRs and 48 runs scored. 2B Adam Kennedy with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, is hitting .332 (77-232) with 13 doubles, 1 HR and 26 RBIs and 8 stolen bases in 73 games. Oakland As RHP Dan Haren is 8-7 with an ERA of 4.36 in 22 starts for Oakland. Haren has thrown 138.1 and has given up 78 runs (67 earned) on 143 hits. He has 104 strikeouts and only 39 walks.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER (Memphis Redbirds Class AAA Pacific Coast League SS John Nelson is hitting .261 (83-318) with 21 doubles, 12 HRs and 42 RBIs. RHP Mark Nussbeck is 3-5 on the season with a 2.90 ERA in 18 games. He has struck out 56 and walked 11. OF Skip Schumaker is hitting .295 (104-352) with 24 doubles and 6 HRs and 25 RBIs.
OZARK MEN (Springfield Cardinals Class AA Texas League)
3B Travis Hanson is hitting .272 (108-397) with 20 doubles, 14 HRs and 66 RBIs in 99 games. RHP Jordan Pals is 5-7 with an ERA of 3.46 in 19 appearances with 78 Ks. RHP Josh Kinney is 4-2 with an ERA of 1.48 in 22 appearances. Kinney has thrown 30.1 innings with 30 Ks.
AT THE BEACH (Palm Beach Cardinals Class A Florida State League) OF Reid Gorecki is hitting .273 (27-99) for the season with 6 doubles, 4 HRs and 18 RBIs. RHP Dennis Dove is 1-1 on the season with a 2.81 ERA, he has 5 Ks in 16 IP.
SWEET MUSIC (Swing of the Quad Cities Class A Midwest League) 3B Jacob Mullinax is hitting .308 (84-273) with 19 doubles, 2 HRs and 37 RBIs. RHP Mark McCormick is 1-0 with an ERA of 1.50 in 2 starts. He has thrown 12 innings and has struck out 9.
