New England Revolution Unveil 25th Season "The Original" Jersey

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution have unveiled the club's new primary kit, "The Original," which celebrates the league's 25th season by drawing inspiration from the founding MLS club's inaugural 1996 red, white, and blue flag motif uniform. Designed by adidas, "The Original" is now on sale at MLSStore.com and the Revolution ProShop at Patriot Place.

The Original uniform echoes the 1996 design's patriotic theme with modernized features, including a sleek white stripe across the shirt's front, and an exclusive jack tag incorporating the club's logo. The Original also features red shorts, which have not been part of the club's primary kit since 1996. Nine silver stars run across the inside of the jersey's drop hem to honor the Revolution's status as one of the league's nine remaining founding clubs.

The Revolution's 2020 primary uniform was revealed during Major League Soccer's FORWARD25 event on Feb. 5 during New York City's Fashion Week, where it was modeled by MLS great and member of New England's inaugural roster Alexi Lalas. All 2020 MLS jerseys feature the three-stripe adidas EQT (equipment) designs, which first debuted in the 1990s, and incorporate special 25th Season Celebration elements, such as a commemorative sleeve patch. MLS jerseys also have a new official font in 2020 - a dynamic, energetic, and bold new font designed by award-winning designer Rick Banks in collaboration with MLS. Single-game tickets for the 2020 regular season will go on sale to the public on Friday, Feb. 7. In addition, Season Memberships for the club's 25th season remain on sale starting at $33 per month. The New England Revolution will kick off the 2020 regular season on Saturday, Feb. 29 against the Montreal Impact at Olympic Stadium. The Revs will then return to Gillette Stadium for the home opener on Saturday, March 7 vs. Chicago Fire FC.
