
Chicago Fire FC Re-Signs Forward Elliot Collier

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC announced today that the Club has re-signed forward Elliot Collier. He is under contract with the Fire for the 2020 season with Club options for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
"Elliot has fully earned this new contract," said Chicago Fire FC Head Coach Raphael Wicky. "He has impressed our staff with his desire to come in and work hard and he has continuously shown improvement after every training session."
Collier, 24, was originally selected by the Fire with the 49th overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. In two seasons with Chicago, he made 17 appearances (10 starts) across all competitions, scoring two goals. Collier also featured for USL Championship sides Indy Eleven and Memphis 901 FC on loan during his first two professional seasons.
In 2018, he made 11 appearances for Indy Eleven, scoring one goal. During the following season, he was a mainstay in Memphis 901 FC's lineup, scoring seven goals in 29 appearances. Collier's seven goals included the first-ever goal in Memphis' history and the first hat trick in club history.
The Fire will kick off the 2020 MLS season on the road versus reigning MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders FC on March 1 at 2:00 p.m. CT (ESPN). Chicago will officially make its return to Soldier Field on Saturday, March 21 when the team hosts Atlanta United FC in its 2020 home opener at 2:30 p.m. CT (Univision).
